BACKGROUND

In 2007, GPS electronics was the fastest growing category in the consumer electronics industry in the U.S. NAVIGON, Europe’s leading provider of navigation products, understood this growth and identified the U.S. as a key market in which to introduce their brand. NAVIGON chose Elevate Studios to develop a strategic interactive campaign focused on driving sales. Three devices, the NAVIGON 7100, 5100, and 2100, were introduced to the market for the holiday season.

SOLUTION

Recognizing how critical the online efforts are in the overall marketing strategy, Elevate Studios and our media and analytics partner, Fuor Digital, developed a cohesive online advertising campaign utilizing search engine marketing, banner executions, rich media executions, and online promotions, which also integrated with traditional marketing efforts.

RESULTS

Within the three-month period of the campaign, NAVIGON achieved unprecedented results for their launch campaign, including:

  • The fifth-place spot in overall US market share for 2007
  • The top five GPS seller in both units and dollar volume in the US
  • The fastest growing GPS company in the US
  • Overall sales exceeded expectations
